We pulled our car over to watch the sun go down over the pacific ocean by the Oregon coast. Noticed two individuals climb past the “do not pass” fence to get closer to the ocean.

My wife and I were on our way back from Washington and decided to take the scenic route. This picture was taken right before the tide came up so high that it almost covered my camera gear in salt water.

Saw some beautiful light coming from the beach and hustled down just in time to take this pic of my husband and my dog. It was a magical moment

I was driving thru Fort Stevens State Park near Warrenton, Oregon when I spotted this bull elk. He was browsing next to the road, so I drove pass then slowly walked back on the other side of the road. He wasn’t disturbed, he looked at me and went back to eating. His still growing antlers are covered in velvet which protects and feeds the antlers as they grow. To learn how to take pictures like this, read my educational blogs at www.sharetimsphotos.com.

My wife and I spent an incredible evening along the Oregon Coast. We drove our Subaru Crosstrek on the sand and set up our beach camp. We made a fire and cooked dinner on next to the ocean, finished off by a bottle of wine and s’mores as we watched the sun dip below the cloud line.

While on vacation at the beach we went to a sand-sculpture contest. Most of the entries were okay, but it was also very crowded. We wandered on down the beach and found this non-entrant, tucked neatly behind a large log of driftwood. It reminded me of childhood vacations to the beach as well as the human need to create.

This is the view from the Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon. Right before the sunset, the city’s skyline is at its absolute best with Mount Hood with all its glory. I know there are many many versions of the same photo on the internet but who cares. It is a beautiful view that deserves the fame.

Wine lovers: This is your happy place. Wine country in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, at sunset. Whenever I fly my drone, I usually take a photo right after taking off and one right before landing. These are usually throw-away photos that simply help me remember exactly where I was at in case I want to go back. However, this shot of the vineyards scattered over those rolling fields was worthy of sharing.

If I had chosen a more lucrative profession, I would definitely buy one of these houses. There's a cool and mysterious cave at the back of this small cove that actually leads all the way to the other side of this strip of land that sticks out into the Pacific Ocean in Depoe Bay, Oregon.

This is one of the oldest hydroelectric plants in the world, located in Oregon City, Oregon, on the Willamette River. I love old industrial places--especially when they're still in operation. Fun fact: This is where the first long-distance power lines in the United States--outside of Thomas Edison's Menlo Park--were installed, carrying electricity to Portland.
